This workshop follows the Colorado River from its headwaters in the Rocky Mountains all the way to Lake Mead where water is stored for millions of people. Teachers will explore water related topics that affect how we use water every day and what water challenges we face. Immersive activities and lessons will reveal how teachers can immediately begin incorporating this important topic into their classroom science, english language arts, physical education, health, and art lesson plans. Teachers receive a curriculum book; are able to connect with other teachers interested in water education; speak to experts and receive training on water activities. Teachers who complete the course will be eligible for 1 CU credit.
